On 27.08.2014, Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica S.A. (“SNN”) informs the shareholders, investors and the public on the initiation of the competitive investors selection procedure for the completion of the Project “Units 3 and 4 of Cernavoda NPP” (“the Project”), as per the Strategy for the continuation of the Project approved by the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders which took place on 22.08.2014. 

Considering the high technological level of the Project, the requirements regarding creditworthiness / financial capability, operational and commercial experience, as well as the technological and managerial capability required for the development and construction of the Project, the first phase of the process consists of a qualification  session of the interested  investors , based on the submitted Qualification Documentation, as per the instructions published on the website of SNN. Under the condition of fulfilling the qualification requirements, the investors will be granted access to detailed information about the Project. Subsequently, the investors will be invited to submit  Letters of Intent (accompanied by substantiating documentation), which will be evaluated in order to establish the Selected Investor for the negotiations phase in view of setting up the Project company. The value of the investment of SNN in Energonuclear S.A. will be transferred to the new Project Company.
