Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica announces the re-connection to the National Power Grid of the Cernavoda NPP’s Unit 2, today, January 10, 2013, hours 04:22 am.

As mentioned in the previous press release, the disconnection took place because of some disturbances in the cooling system of the Unit’s electric generator. These disturbances were the result of a relay failure within the control system of the cooling circuit of the electric generator.

The activities  related to the re-connection to the grid were carried out in compliance with the plant procedures and with the safety and protection standards and requirements, with no adverse impact on population, personnel, equipment, installations and environment.
