Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica S.A. (“SNN”) informs the shareholders and the investors that during the evening of April 6th, 2015, Unit 1 of Cernavoda NPP was disconnected from the National Power System, in order to perform remediation works at an auxiliary systems related to the classical part of the power plant.
All the systems of the power plant operated at design base parameters, without any potential negative impact on the nuclear safety of the reactor, on the operating staff, population and environment.
The reconnection of Cernavoda NPP Unit 1 to the National Power System will take place after the completion of the remediation works and the verification tests performed as per the procedures of the plant. SNN will issue a current report on this matter.
