Unit 2 of Cernavoda NPP enters planned outage starting May 7th, 2023

SN Nuclearelectrica SA (SNN) announces that Unit 2 of Cernavoda NPP will enter the planned outage program on May 7th, 2023. The desynchronization from the National Energy System will start at 11:00 AM.
The planned outages are complex projects, initiated with 24 months before the established date, with dedicated project management teams, a completion schedule and adequate planning of human and budgetary resources.
During the planned outage, activities from the following programs will be carried out:
- Preventive maintenance program;
- Corrective maintenance program;
- Inspections program;
- Mandatory testing program during planned outages
- Project changes implementation program.
The works will be performed under safe conditions for the plant personnel, public and environment in accordance with the approved procedures applied by the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant.
