Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica S.A. (“SNN”) informs that during the evening of 28.12.2014, the turbo generator of Cernavoda NPP Unit 1 was disconnected from the National Power Grid, while maintaining the rector on power, in order to perform repair works on the classical part of the unit.

After the completion of the repair works, Unit 1 was reconnected to the National Power Grid, on 29.12.2014, 6:15 hours.

The repair works as well as the reconnection activities were carried out in compliance with the procedures of the power plant, as well as the protection and nuclear safety standards, without any adverse impact on the population, the staff, the installations and the environment.
