Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica S.A. (“SNN”) informs that during the afternoon of March 27th, 2015, Unit 1 of Cernavoda NPP will be shutdown in a controlled manner, in order to perform precise repair works of preventive maintenance at the systems related to the classical part of the power plant.
During the outage period, all the systems of the power plant will operate at design base parameters, without any potential negative impact on the nuclear safety of the reactor, on the operating staff, population and environment.
The reconnection of Cernavoda NPP Unit 1 to the National Power System will take place after the completion of the preventive maintenance works and the verification tests performed as per the procedures of the plant.
