Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica S.A. (“SNN”) informs its shareholders and investors that Unit 2 of Cernavoda NPP was reconnected to the National Power Grid during the night of 25.12.2014 to 26.12.2014.

Cernavoda NPP Unit 2 was disconnected, in a controlled manner, from the National Power Grid on 23.12.2013, in order to repair a defect on an impulse line related to a measurement instrument situated in the reactor building.

The repair works as well as the reconnection activities were carried out in compliance with the procedures of the power plant, as well as the protection and safety standards, without any adverse impact on the population, the staff, the installations and the environment.
