Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica S.A. (“SNN”) informs that on December 23rd, 2014, Cernavoda nuclear power plant’s Unit 2 will be shutdown in a controlled manner in order to repair a defect on an impulse line related to a measurement instrument situated in the reactor building.
The unit’s systems operate in compliance with the project, without affecting the nuclear safety of the reactor, the operational staff, the population and the environment.
The restart and reconnection of the Unit to the National Power Grid will take place after the remediation of the defect and the verification tests performed in compliance with the procedures of the power plant.
SNN will inform regarding this aspect.
