Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica S.A. (“SNN”) informs that Unit 1 of Cernavoda NPP was reconnected to the National Power Grid on 03.12.2014, at 23:21 hours.

Cernavoda NPP Unit 1 was disconnected, conservatively, from the National Power Grid on 03.12.2013, following the occurrence of certain issues at the Balance of Plant (BOP). The reactor was maintained on power during this period.

 The repair works as well as the reconnection activities were carried out in compliance with the procedures of the power plant, as well as the protection and safety standards, without any adverse impact on the population, the staff, the installations and the environment.
