Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica S.A. (SNN) announces the availability of the quarterly report for the first quarter of the financial year 2014, as well as of the unaudited individual interim condensed financial statements as at and for the period ended at 31 March 2014.
In the first quarter of 2014, SNN obtained a net profit of 102 million lei (-30% vs Q1 2013). The revenues from the sale of electricity were of 433 million lei (-11% vs Q1 2013) for a similar amount of electricity sold (2,8 TWh), but much lower energy sale prices (-13% on the free market). In this framework, Nuclearelectrica applied a sales strategy adapted to the market situation in order to minimize its effects.
EBITDA in the first quarter of 2014 was of 200 million lei (-28% vs Q1 2013), on the basis of operational revenues 11% lower and expenses with taxes and fees (+22 million lei in Q1 2014 – tax on special constructions).
