Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica S.A. (“SNN”) informs that the works related to the planned outage of Cernavoda NPP Unit 2 were completed. The synchronization with the National Power System was performed during the morning of June 2nd, 2015.
Unit 2 entered the planned outage program on May 8th 2015 in order to complete the planned maintenance works, which are performed once every two years for each unit.
During the planned outage, the following activities were carried out:
- Preventive and corrective maintenance program;
- Mandatory inspections program;
- Mandatory testing program, in compliance with CNCAN’s requirements, that can be performed only during an outage period;
- Project changes implementation program on certain systems/equipment/components.
All the objectives assumed during the planned outage were accomplished under safe conditions for the plant personnel, public and environment, in accordance with the procedures applied by Cernavoda NPP.
