Reconnection of Cernavoda NPP Unit 1 to the National Power System

Bucharest, June 29, 2022

SN Nuclearelectrica SA informs that the works related to the planned outage of Cernavoda NPP Unit 1 were completed, and Unit 1 was connected to the National Power System on June 28, 2022, reaching nominal power on June 29, 2022.
Unit 1 entered the planned outage on May 8th 2022 in order to complete the planned maintenance works, performed once every two years for each unit.
During the planned outage, activities related to the following programs were carried out:
• Preventive maintenance program;
• Corrective maintenance program;
• Inspections program;
• Mandatory testing program during planned outages
• Project changes implementation program.
All the works during the planned outage were carried under safety conditions for the personnel, public and environment, in compliance Cernavoda NPP the applicable procedures and the measures for preventing COVID 19 spreading.
