Valentin Ovidiu Nae is a graduate of the Physics Faculty of the Bucharest University, Semiconductor Technology specialization, and of numerous training programs organized by WANO, COG, AIEA in the field of nuclear security, leadership, operation, engineering. He started his career within the Cernavoda NPP Branch in 1986 as a physician engineer within the Radio Protection Department. In time, he had operation and management positions, and is the manager of the radiation control section section, main specialist operating engineer, control room operator, Unit 1 shift chief dispatch operator, Chief Engineer within the Process System Department, Operations Manager within SNN. Since 19.10.2020, he is the Manager of the Cernavoda NPP Branch, and is responsible for coordinating the production activity and the nuclear security functions.

Valentin Nae is a professional in the nuclear field, with experience of 35 years within the Cernavoda NPP Branch and expertise accumulated within the international expert missions in which he participated within WANO, his contribution to the management team of SNN proven in practice by exceptional operating results obtained by Cernavoda NPP. Units 1 and 2 are constantly among the first in the world regarding the capacity factor. Valentin Nae also fulfills a strategic role in the management team of SNN, by his participation in the investment projects of SNN, especially the refurbishment of Unit 1, and in establishing the human resource policies that are necessary for project implementation, by ensuring the technical competences.
