Laura Constantin

Laura Constantin graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Bucharest with postgraduate studies in private law and nuclear law and she has 18 years of professional experience, including in management and coordination positions in companies in the financial and energy fields. Since 2004, she has been active in the legal field within the Ministry of Public Finance and, from this position, she has carried out an internship at the Legal Department – European Commission. Subsequently, in the period 2006 – 2013, she held the position of Legal Director and member of the Board of Directors of Fondul Proprietatea and worked as a lawyer. In 2013, Laura Constantin joined Nuclearelectrica as Legal and Corporate Affairs Manager and later Legal Manager contributing with her legal experience in preparing the company for listing on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, providing assistance, consultancy and legal support in the process of organizational transformation, implementing together with Nuclearelectrica team the best practices of corporate governance within the company, including by increasing the company’s degree of transparency, offering consultancy and legal support to operational processes, legal, transactions, human resources, investments within the company, defending the rights and interests of the company before the regulatory bodies, the control authorities and the courts. At the same time, Laura Constantin participated as a legal expert in the mission of the International Physical Protection Advisory Service, which aims to analyze the degree of compliance of the nuclear safety regime with the legislative and regulatory framework, existing nuclear safety systems and practices at international level, organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Both the professional legal, leadership and coordination experience in such a diverse spectrum both in private and state-owned companies, the solid legal knowledge, knowledge of the nuclear field and adherence to the principles and values that govern it are a solid premise to contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans, development objectives, their transposition into tactical and operational plans, actions and processes that will allow Nuclearelectrica to achieve the objectives set by the shareholders and to meet their expectations as well as the related challenges.
