Starting the trading of Nuclearelectrica’s shares

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) informs that on 4 November 2013 the trading of Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica SA’s shares begins, within the Equities Section- Tier I Shares, following the favourable advisory opinion of the Trading Admission Commission (TAC) and the approval for trading by the Stock Exchange Board.

The shares have the following characteristics:

Number: 281,782,756

Nominal value: 10 lei

The initial public offering for the sale of 10% of the shares of Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica SA was carried out during the period between 9-20 September 2013 and it was quite a success. Each share that was subject of the Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica SA’s offering was provided with an allotment right. The allotment rights were traded on the BSE during the period between 4-28 October 2013.

Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica SA is the only nuclear power producer of Romania. The company is operating two CANDU 6 type reactors, using natural uranium as fuel and heavy water as moderator and cooling agent. Nuclearelectrica has two branches: the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant and FCN Pitesti- the nuclear fuel plant that manufactures the nuclear fuel necessary for the reactors operation. By operating the two units of the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant, each of 706 MWh, 20% of Romania’s demand of electricity is met.
