The debut of Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica (SNN) at the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) was marked by the official opening of the trading session on October 4. Mircea Ursache, vicepresident, Romanian Supervisory Authority, Daniela Lulache, general manager, Nuclearelectrica, Luisa Georgescu, one of the first employees of the company, representatives of the consortium which intermediated the initial public offer for SNN shares, Rares Nilas, general manager, BT Securities, and Mihai Chisu, sales& trading, Swiss Capital, and from the Bucharest Stock Exchange Lucian Anghel, president, and Ludwik Sobolewski, CEO.
Ludwik Sobolewski said: “This is an important day for the local capital market. More eyes will be on Romania after this successful IPO and this is good for everyone. With this step, the life of Nuclearelectrica will change.”

Lucian Anghel concluded that “this IPO’s success is beneficial to the capital market, and also to Romania. The investors’ involvement, especially the ones in the retail area, shows that the capital market has the necessary resources and that there is real interest in such listings.”
In the first trading day of the allocation rights issued by Nuclearelectrica, there was recorded a traded value of approx. 2.79 mn. euro (36.8% of the total day traded value), out of 1,782 trades. The closing price of the allocation rights was 11.72 lei/ share, 1.74% above the open price, respectively 4.64% more than the offer price for the institutional investors tranche. Based on the reference price formed in today’s trading session, the deal market for trading the allocation rights will be available starting Monday. Starting the same trading session of Monday there will be applied the price limit of +/- 15%.
