SN Nuclearelectrica SA announces the re-connection to the National Power Grid of the Cernavoda NPP’s Unit 2, on March 10, 2013, hours 07:25 pm, after having retrieved the deficiency found as a result of the investigations carried out by the specialists of the nuclear power plant and of the manufacturer, General Electric.

The disconnection occurred because of the activation of a protection of the electric generator control system as a consequence of certain signals received from its excitation system.

The re-connection activities have been performed in compliance with the power plant procedures and the safety and protection requirements, with no adverse impact on population, staff, equipment and environment.
