S.N. Nuclearelectrica SA (“SNN”) announces that Cernavoda NPP Unit 1 was reconnected to the National Power Grid during the the morning of 27 March 2018, following to reach full power during the evening of the same day.

The decision to shut down Unit 1 for an approximate period of 48 hours was taken on a conservative basis during the morning of Marth 25^th 2018 and was determined by the occurrence of a defect at one of the power plant’s process systems, which required the shut down of the Unit in order to carry out the repair works in compliance with the design requirements.

The repair works had no adverse impact on the personnel, the population and the environment, as they were carried out in compliance with the specific NPP procedures.
