SN Nuclearelectrica SA (“SNN”) announces that Cernavoda NPP Unit 2 will be reconnected to the National Power Grid on Saturday, 26 August 2017.

Unit 2 was shutdown in a controlled manner during the morning of August 24 2017, in order to carry out remediation works on the instrumentation line related to the light water supply system, in the classical part of the power plant, works which can only be performed with the reactor in shutdown state, as per the systems of the power plant.

The remediation activities were carried out under normal working conditions for the personnel, public and environment, in compliance with the approved procedures applied at Cernavoda NPP.
